combining a rich history with a modern user friendly experience.
slingers ironmongers have had a presence in the north west for generations (six in fact), but in an ever changing market place they asked us to help them build a strong online presence. this involved developing the company logo, overall brand identity and a complete revamp of their company website that offers a simple but stylish user experience.
we started by creating a simple but effective logo using a palette of colours that reflect the nature of the business - ironmongery. as a result we opted for a clean, sans serif font combined with dark grey and rusty orange, cementing the relationship between the visual language of the brand and their area of business.
next we developed a website that takes stylistic cues from the brand identity and expands on them, with a combination of black and white imagery, abstract textures and a simple and easy to navigate layout. finally we took the time to showcase the company's long tradition with a dedicated heritage page within the website, where customers can learn about the brand story.
slingers 1858 has garnered attention from the local press, helping to raise the company profile whilst remaining a trusted brand within the industry.
as a result they’ve been able to grow and expand their services to include large public sector works with the local council and university of central lancashire, whilst still maintaining and developing their core business with local tradespeople and home owners looking for the finishing touches for their property.
